Easter Weekend

Friday when I got home the sirens were going off. There were all kinds of storm systems moving over the house. So I put the kiddos in the basement to play and went outside to help Joe get things in...I moved his car into the garage (in case of hail). After the storm(s) passed we went to Douglasville and took Zeke to PETSMART and got him a crate. We picked up MickeyD's on the fly and headed back home.

Saturday morning Cayden had a soccer game. Joe and Chase stayed at home and Chase took a nap. After Cayden's game we went to Kelsey game. (I did not take pictures of either game)It was so cold at the games - actually it was the wind...Cayden and Kelsey both did so good at their games. Once all the soccer fun was over. Cayden, Jeffrey, and I all headed back to our house and had lunch. Then we headed to JellyStone Park. We got to see Yogi, egg hunt, hold bunnies, play on the playground, go on a hayride, paint an egg basket, and swing.

In the evening Richard, Charlene, and Jayme came over for a little while ... and we dyed eggs!

Sunday morning we got up to go to church. But before church we HAD to see what the Easter Bunny brought: We went to both services because we were working in the 1 year old room. I THOUGHT (that is what I get for thinking) that 1st service started at 9.45 ... nope it is 9.15...so we were really late. We went ahead and put the kids in their rooms and went and sat in the lobby and watched the service on the TV. About 10 minutes before the service ended we headed into the room to help get the kiddos ready for pickup. Colby and Josh were in the room so I got down on the floor and rounded around with them.

After church we headed home and on the way to church I realized that I never put our roast on the night before so we made a pit stop at Hardees and picked up so cheeseburgers. Cayden, Chase, and Zeke had lunch on the back deck. At 2.30 we had a dessert and juice egg hunt.

(my cake that I am super proud of)

That was a lot of fun. I think all the kids loved hunting. Kelsey found the GOLDEN EGG with five dollars in it! She said she was going to save her money...go Kels go Kels go!!!!

Once the egg hunt came to an end...MeeMaw and PawPaw broke out a late Christmas gift...

Cayden and Chase took turns being a caged animal Saturday night. Cayden was a lion. Chase was a bit of a bio-poplar animal - he changed every time he got in the cage!

Zeke's Letter to his foster family

Hello Alabama Family & Friends!

Greeting from Temple, GA!

I wanted to let you know that I love my new home in Georgia! It was a long ride but I slept most of the way. At my new house I have a fenced in backyard and a kitty to play with.
I love dinner time here my brothers are messy eaters and I get to eat anything that falls on the floor. I get to play outside and inside - I get to go anywhere I want. I am being a good boy and not getting on the couches or anything like that. But Mommy and Daddy's bed is super comfy and when Daddy is not in the bed - you can bet you will find me in his spot!!!
I went to my Meemaw and PawPaw's yesterday (Sunday) to play with my uncles- Widawake, Samson, and Burton. Widawake was fun to play with. He is a big dog but he did so good with me. Samson is good to cuddle with he is an old dog so he does not play to much! Burton is small like me...he is fun to! I love to give everyone kisses! They are good to me - everyone is so sweet to me. I think I am the perfect size...small enough to play with the boys but big enough for them not to try and pick me up! In my letter I enclosed my pictures of me at my new house. I am so glad I have a home. I got to roll around on the floor with Mommy yesterday and that was real fun...She is teaching me to shake hands. And she gives me TREATS when I potty outside! That is AMAZING! Thank you for finding me a home and I will be in touch!

Sunday

And Doggie makes 6

We finally found a pup that seems to fit into our family wonderfully! It was an adventure getting him home but all is well now!

Monday

Sending March out with a BANG!

Waiting on Cain, Carson, & Carly!

This weekend was super busy! We had a bunch going on and the kids loved every minute!

Friday - we ate at home and really did nothing. Then after dinner Mom, Scott, & Jeffrey came over for a little visit.

Saturday - Joe's work moved from one location to another. He worked all day. So it was just me and the boys! In the morning, we had breakfast with the Easter Bunny. The Rec. Dept. did a wonderful job - everything was so cutely decorated. They served eggs. biscuits, bacon, gravy, and cereal. Chase woke up really early that morning so by the time we were leaving to go he was miserable...He had a "small" meltdown in the line to get a balloon. Cayden got a fishing pole and Chase got 3 little mice! (which he "ate" on the way home). The boys also got there faces painted - Cayden had a dragon and Chase had a bee!Arts & CraftsGone Fishing!3 Little MiceBreakfastBeeDragon

After breakfast, we went to the store to get some bread and juice and some dog things. The boys don't understand that a dog is coming to live at their house. Every time I would put something in the buggy they would say..."Burton is going to like that!" (Burton is my mom's dog)

Once we weathered the storm or the storm weathered us , I'm not sure which it was, we headed home to take a nap. ALL of us! When we woke up it was time for us to go to a birthday party. It was a pirate themed party so the boys got to dress up like pirates! After the pirate party, we headed to Nana, Papa, and Uncle's for a farewell dinner for Uncle. He is going to Japan for 3 weeks. It was nice. The kids played on the new screened porch. Once, it was time to go we took Daddy a plate to work and got up in a "big truck". The kiddies loved that. In the truck!

Then we boys & I went back home to shower and got in bed and watched a movie until Daddy got home around 11:30. Then we all crashed.

Sunday, was church I worked in the 1 year old room. The boys went to their rooms and learned about Jesus in the garden. After church when went home to have lunch. Once I ate I had a baby shower to go to. Then it was time to relieve Joe from Daddy Duty so he could go to work! Once the boys got up from their naps we organized the basement. We had dinner - which Cayden and Chase thought it was SO YUMMY! It was so simple - all it was - was hamburger meat with Parmesan cheese on it and noodles...(????) Whatever works, right? Cayden started in that he wanted to call Kelsey's mom to come over. So he called Grace...excuse me....Mrs. Grace and she came over and we traded off some baby clothes...Then came bed time! The End!

Wednesday

How much is that doggie in the window?

I think this the dog for us!
We are currently in questionare mode... so keep your fingers crossed, that it works out!

I have only used this once at a soccer game. It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The water proof side really seems to keep the water away. No one that sat on the blanket got wet! This blanket will be going to the beach with us this year!
